As a coach, you hold the key to unlocking a world of opportunity for the children you work with. You have the chance to change their lives by encouraging an active lifestyle that they can carry through and enjoy into old age.
The junior cricket coaching course aims to teach you how to incorporate the Long-term Participant Development model (LTPD) to teach your children cricket skills and at the same time to build their confidence to become an active cricket player. You will also develop the ability to tailor your cricket sports programme according to your children’s developmental ages (cognitive, emotional, physical and mental). This will enable you to help your children learn cricket skills at a pace that meets their needs, rather than forcing them to do skills and activities they are not yet ready to perform. This will make your role as coach easier as your children will really look forward to your practices knowing that they have the skills and ability to play cricket well.
