Overview
Take the next step in athletic performance by learning how to develop the key physical qualities that underpin speed, power, strength, and explosive movement.
The Applied Athletic Performance Training and Testing micro credential equips learners with the practical knowledge and scientific principles required to assess, develop, and improve athletic performance across a range of sporting environments. Through evidence-based training methods, learners will explore how to enhance speed, agility, power, and strength while developing safe and effective coaching techniques for athletes of varying ages and abilities.
Whether you are a coach, fitness professional, strength and conditioning practitioner, or healthcare professional looking to expand your expertise, this micro credential provides the tools to confidently implement athletic performance training programmes that maximise performance.
Throughout this course you will explore:
- Principles of speed development and agility training.
- Plyometric training for improving explosive power and athletic performance.
- Fundamentals of strength training using traditional and Olympic lifting techniques.
- Performance testing methods to evaluate athletic ability and monitor training progress.
Develop the knowledge and confidence to train athletes for improved speed, strength, power, and performance.
This course is perfect for....
This micro credential is ideal for:
- Personal trainers working with athletic populations.
- Sports coaches looking to improve athlete performance.
- Fitness professionals wishing to expand into athletic performance training.
