This course has been designed for individuals who are either already involved in the fitness and sport industry or are looking to get involved. The unique design of this course makes it accessible for individuals of varying backgrounds. The course starts with an introduction to periodisation, where various aspects covered will assist in the development of a better understanding of what periodisation is, how it may benefit a player or team, and how a training programme should be constructed. 

This should lay a good foundation for the rest of the course, which will discuss the need of periodisation in football, how periodisation can be applied to resistance (gym-based) and field conditioning training sessions, while monitoring the footballers as to ensure that adequate recovery is afforded so that the training objectives are achieved.  The course will also cover fitness testing for football and provide normative data which will be helpful in rating players at different performance levels. Each of the modules in this course have been structured in a way as to condense the most valuable knowledge from the topic being covered without omitting any vital aspects of programme design for football. 

This is a time-efficient way to gain an understanding of the theory behind planing a periodised training plan for football, with the aid of examples which are provided to furthermore increase the quality of learning.
